Sustainability

How we meet our responsibilities

No minors are involved in the manufacture of our products. We offer equal wages and opportunities at work for men and women. We pay a fair wage that is either at or above the national average for ALL employees. We provide safe working conditions, regular breaks and vacations for ALL employees. We provide medical care for our employees. Employees of our production receive an additional bonus in the amount of a 13th monthly salary, which is paid out at Diwali (Festival of Lights). We pay our producers the products in advance so that all the above points are guaranteed and producers do not fall into debt by buying the materials.

Working conditions

We personally inspect all factories where our clothing is produced and do so at regular intervals. This way we can ensure that workers are treated fairly and with respect. We are constantly striving to improve the working conditions, which is why we have built a new factory together with Saran Exports, in order to have an even better influence in the future. Our aim is to bring the working conditions as close as possible to those of the European Union.

Environmental sustainability

In order to achieve environmentally friendly production, we rely primarily on natural raw materials such as cotton. Cotton is extremely absorbent, has a temperature balancing effect and is also skin-friendly. We only use cotton from organic cultivation. So we can guarantee that:

  • no harmful chemicals are used
  • the farmers need less water when growing cotton
  • a natural agriculture is established
  • environmentally harmful substances such as pesticides, insecticides, defoliants and chemical fertilizers are not used
  • the quality of life of cotton farmers increases, since organic cotton has about 50% added value compared to conventional cultivation

Cultivation and harvest

In organic farming, farmers can control the quality during the harvesting process and only pick the ripe buds. These are harvested by hand, without the use of chemicals. This not only protects the environment and guarantees the health of the farmers, but also increases the quality of the materials. The cotton is noticeably softer and more comfortable to wear on the skin. Therefore, harvesting organically grown cotton is a particularly gentle process. In conventional cotton harvesting, on the other hand, defoliants are injected to loosen the leaves from the plant. These are then harvested with special machines, regardless of whether the buds are ripe or not and of the quality level of the buds.
